Describtion

Veera Kuula is a visual artist based in Kuusamo. She makes traditional drawings and paintings. She has over ten years of experience in active art making. She plans to graduate as a professional artist within a year and begin working after that. She is interested in working multiple different jobs in the art field, such as illustrating and landscape painting.

Exhibitions

An Exhibition of Traditional Arts (the lobby of Kuusamo-opisto, Kuusamo, 9.3.-3.4.2026). It is an exhibition combining traditional artworks from two artists. Kuula has five traditional nature-themed paintings in the exhibition.

Portraits-exhibition (restaurant Keppana Kellari, Liesjärvi, 24.5.-31.8.2025). It was an exhibition combining traditional artworks from two artists. Kuula had five traditional portrait-themed drawings and paintings in the exhibition. 

Accomplishments

A third place in a photography competition. The competition was a part of Kaunis Kaamos event, which was organized in Hetta during 2.-3.1.2026.

A first place in a national short story competition in 2021. Her winning story was made into an audiobook and published on multiple different audiobook services. She also got a publishing contract with an audiobook company.
